At the Arizona Grass Raised Beef Company, we take pride in the high quality and authenticity of our grass fed, grass finished products. By providing our customers with the facts and resources necessary to understand and navigate through the grass fed beef culture, we encourage consumers to seek education, ask questions and evaluate where their food is sourced. Our philosophy is to remain 100% transparent in our sustainable practices, to minimize our carbon footprint, and to produce the highest quality grass fed, grass finished products. All of our cattle are born, raised and fabricated in Arizona at our very own USDA harvesting plant.
One of the most unique facts about our company is that we have our very own boutique USDA harvesting plant, used exclusively for the hand fabrication of our 100% grass raised, grass finished beef and bones. Our USDA plant allows for complete in house vertical integration of our products.
FREE RANGE RANCHES
Our cattle are range bred, grass fed. Managed by cowboys on horseback, our cattle forage for their food across thousands of acres of Arizona ranchlands. Our cattle enjoy naturally occurring Arizona grasses, water, and flowers. Our free range method allows our cattle to enjoy a stress free lifestyle; we believe this method is far superior to any other ranching style.
All of our cattle are 100% born, raised, and harvested in Arizona. They are never shipped out of state for any reason. They are never fed any grains, corn or silage, nor are they ever contained to feed lots.
Our cattle are born and raised in the Arizona sunshine, with 300+ sunny days per year, Arizona provides the perfect environment for healthy cattle, fresh air and naturally occurring grasses year round.
We rely on windmills and solar power systems to ensure our sustainable ranch practices. No pesticides, insecticides or GMO seeds are ever used on our land. We manage our cattle on horseback.
WHY GRASS FED & FINISHED?
The majority of cattle in America are raised for a short time on grass and then “finished” in confined feeding areas with a diet of grain that is unnatural to them. Our 100% grass fed & finished, free range cattle, roam around hundreds of thousands of acres of Arizona ranch grasslands. Our cattle forage for their food across naturally occurring grasses and are never given corn, pellets, silage, antibiotics or added growth hormones. Industry research has shown that industrial grain based feedlot operations expose cattle to inhumane conditions, require intensive consumption of fossil fuels and produce much higher levels of environment pollutants than our free range approach.
The Arizona Grass Raised Beef Company maintains a philosophy to remain 100% transparent and to produce the highest quality grass fed, grass finished products. In addition to the noted health benefits for our cattle as well as the significantly reduced impact on the environment, our beef products are a healthy alternative to conventional grain fed beef.
Many studies have found grass fed beef to contain a higher level of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) than grain fed beef. CLA is a healthy fat known to improve immunity, cardiovascular disease, cancer and reproductive function. Also, beef from grass fed animals contains two to four times more omega-3 fatty acids than grain fed cattle. Omega-3’s play a vital role in cell reproduction and regulation of blood pressure. In addition to the higher CLA and omega-3 levels, grass fed beef is four times higher in vitamin E than beef raised in feedlots. Vitamin E is known to help lower our risk of heart disease and cancer.
One of the most unique assets of the Arizona Grass Raised Beef Company is that we have our very own USDA inspected processing plant, used exclusively for our cattle. Having the plant allows us to bring our highly nutritious, 100% grass fed and finished beef products to the market. As an added measure to ensure best practices, the Arizona Grass Raised Beef Company is third party verified by the American GrassFed Association.
