Do you remember visiting your Grandma’s house and everything she made just tasted…better? The eggs were flavorful, the beef was juicy and the cookies melted in your mouth? There’s a good chance she was using Tallow.
Tallow has been a household essential for centuries, used both in the kitchen and in the bathroom. From cooking with it to using it as an ointment to treat cuts and scrapes, you’ll find that having a jar of Tallow on hand will act in your favor. Before we get into the details, let’s start with the basics.
What exactly is Tallow?
Tallow is rendered beef fat. Our tallow at Arizona Grass Raised Beef comes directly from our cows that have been 100% grass fed and grass finished by roaming across millions of acres in Arizona. It’s slow-rendered during a 12 hour process.
How do you use Tallow? It depends on who you ask!
Cooking: Some of our customers use it specifically for their cooking. Adding Tallow to the frying pan creates the juiciest and most flavorful steak or burger. Using it with your morning eggs will add that extra taste you didn’t know was missing. Some even use it to top off their coffee in the morning. The options are endless when it comes to cooking with Tallow, and it’s an excellent way to get a healthy balance of Omegas.
